WISER Advisory Council

WISER’s Advisory Council is comprised of industry leaders who share an interest in women’s retirement issues. Council members and the organizations they represent contribute to WISER’s mission through participation in WISER events, research and other activities.

AARP 

AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, social welfare organization with a membership of nearly 38 million that helps people turn their goals and dreams into real possibilities, strengthens communities and fights for the issues that matter most to families – such as health care, employment and income security, and protection from financial abuse. 

American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) 

The American Council of Life Insurers is a trade association based in DC with approximately 300 member companies. It advocates for public policies that support the industry’s marketplace and the 75 million American families that rely on life insurers’ products for financial and retirement security.

Hueler Companies is a group of affliates focused on value consulting and data research. Founded in 1897, Hueler Companies is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is the industry’s only independent research organization providing data and systems to all market participants.

MFS Investment Management

MFS Investment Management is an American-based global investment manager, formerly known as Massachusetts Financial Services. Founded in 1924, MFS is one of the oldest asset management companies in the world and has been credited with pioneering the mutual fund.

SIFMA

SIFMA is the leading trade association for broker-dealers, investment banks and asset managers operating in the U.S. and global capital markets. On behalf of our industry’s nearly 1 million employees, we advocate on legislation, regulation and business policy, affecting retail and institutional investors, equity and fixed income markets and related products and services. We serve as an industry coordinating body to promote fair and orderly markets, informed regulatory compliance, and efficient market operations and resiliency. 

Society of Actuaries

The Society of Actuaries (SOA) is an educational, research and professional organization and the largest professional organization dedicated to serving 24,000 actuarial members. SOA promotes high standards of professional competence within the actuarial profession. SOA provides basic education about the fundamental principles for professional development and continuing education studies. They also conduct their own research and studies to help advance the profession.
